In the Faroe Islands, a small summer initiative has grown into something much bigger than a judo programme. It has become a story of inclusion, discovery and community, proving that when barriers are removed, young people are capable of far more than many imagine. For the Faroe Islands Judo Federation, the journey into adapted judo did not begin on the tatami. It began with a simple question: how can more children be given the opportunity to experience judo?

The answer emerged through a project led by Parasport Faroe Islands called Everyone Included, an initiative designed to provide funding and support for sports organisations creating inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities.
